John 3: 17 “For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
Jesus’ intention to come into the world was never to condemn emphasizing our human weaknesses and how we fall short. No, His only desire for coming to earth was to show us our need and to provide a way of redemption. Redemption… He exchanged our past, present, and future sins for His taking the blame and going in our place to the cross that we might stand before God righteous. We are saints because we are clothed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ motive was always coming in a spirit of meekness and servant hood.
Application: God, thank you that you did not come in a spirit condemnation but as our Savior. When I am feeling condemned, I need to remind myself that it is not from the Lord but from the Devil. God is offers redemption and this promise can never be broken. Thank you Lord!
